There has been some developing news in the past hour as reports state that the Luas drivers have accepted the Labour court’s pay increase proposal.
It is understood drivers expected the deal after SIPTU members voted in favour of the deal. It is expected divers will now receive an 18.3% pay increase along with bonus payments of €750.
The new deal will also see drivers being reimbursed all pay cuts taken from them by company operator Transdev during the recent strike action. The Labour Court will also review the proposed amendments to the salary agreement for new employees.
