There are reports emerging of a Russian air force general blown out of the sky after his jet was hit by a well-placed Stinger missile strike.
Named as major general Kanamat Botashev, he joins the long list of high-ranking Russian officers meeting their maker in Ukraine.
The winning shot is believed to have originated from a Stinger weapon system operated by the Ukrainian’s 3rd company of the 80th brigade.
