Gardai have launched an investigationg after a woman’s body was discovered on farmland in Co Westmeath.
It’s understood that a woman was missing in the area since Saturday.
The area at the farmland has been sealed off for technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been contacted.
It’s understood that a house in Athlone has also been sealed pending forensic examination by gardai and that a car has been seized.
