There’s uproar on social media this week as the UK Home Office has confirmed that they Irish people won’t be exempt from a proposed plan to compile a list of foreign workers.
The Home Secretary, Amber Rudd claims that businesses and schools will soon be required, by law, to provide information on their employees whether they are foreign or nationally born.
Major plans are in place to provide more work to English, Northern Irish, Welsh and Scottish people rather than foreign workers.
The Home Office has confirmed that initally the rollout will be for non-EU members, but that once the EU is included, Irish people will be more than likely considered foreign workers but that a stipulation may be put in place.
