Canavan: Reopening of a number of services could happen after May 5th if health situation allows for it to happen

The Government are considering the reopening of a number of services after May 5th if the health situation allows for it to happen.

Speaking about the possible reopening of such services Government spokesperson Liz Canavan said that services such as non essential retail and religious services could reopen if we can hold firm.

Canavan said services would be reopened on a staggered basis starting with click and collect, she also said there were reasons to be hopeful given the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out.

It is understood that construction could also see a full reopening after May 5th and other services such as museums and libraries could also reopen if the situation allows for it to happen.

However Canavan urged the public to hold on just that little bit longer as we could be in a better place by summertime.
