Leading scientists in the United States are predicting over the next few weeks, some data models are showing that up to 240,000 people might succumb to Covid-19 across the country.
The number of infections in the United States has now reached almost 190,000, with New York and Washington being hit particularly hard.
Meanwhile, at press conference, President Trump also warned of “two painful weeks” ahead as he updated the public on the continuing fight being waged to contain the Chinese virus and praised the courage of those working to stop the spread and aid those who had fallen ill.
