A father has raised concerns over his young daughter’s wellbeing, alleging that she is being exposed to inappropriate sexual behaviour due to her mother’s activity on the adult platform OnlyFans, the Family Law Court has heard, reports The Mirror.
At the hearing, solicitor Mairéad Doyle, representing the father, informed Judge Alec Gabbett that her client has submitted complaints to both the Gardaà and Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, regarding his former wife’s alleged participation in adult content creation on OnlyFans.
Ms Doyle stated that the woman, who resides in a town in Co Clare, is also believed to have uploaded explicit material to forums accessible without requiring payment, raising further concerns about exposure, reports The Mirror.
The couple are divorced, and Ms Doyle noted that the mother currently has custody of their daughter. She explained that her client is particularly alarmed by the possibility that the child is being exposed to the mother’s alleged online activities while in the home.
Ms Doyle said that the father has submitted video screenshots showing the mother engaging in sexual acts with others. Judge Gabbett remarked: “The father’s concern is that the daughter is being exposed to over-sexualised behaviour in the home and the child is at risk so much so that he has made contact with the Gardai,” reports The Mirror.
Ms Doyle confirmed this and Judge Gabbett responded that, should Tusla be aware of and verify the claims, they would likely remove the child from the household. She also said that the father is considering applying for a Protection Order for the child in district court.
The solicitor said the father fears that videos are being filmed inside the home while the child is present. She added that an access variation application in circuit court is another route, but would take more time. Judge Gabbett stated: “There would want to be very strong grounds for a Protection Order. The threshold needs to be met,” reports The Mirror.
