The US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) has ruled that fully vaccinated people can stop wearing masks and social distancing.
US President Joe Biden has hailed the move as a ‘milestone’ in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nevertheless, vaccinated people will still be required to wear masks while on public transport and while inside transportation hubs such as train and bus stations.
