Covid-19: UK adds Balearic islands, Malta, Madeira, and some Caribbean islands to its ‘green’ travel list

The UK has added the Balearic Islands in Spain, Malta, Madeira, and some Caribbean islands to its ‘green’ travel list.

This effectively means that people returning from these areas will not be required to quarantine on arrival in the UK, but they will need to take one coronavirus test.

Nevertheless, these areas will remain on a ‘watch’ list, which means they could be returned to ‘amber’ at any time, as it happened with Portugal in recent weeks, sending thousands of people scrambling for flights.
