The UK has reported 24,141 new coronavirus infections over the last 24h.
Official figures say that there have now been 1,123,197 infections across the UK since the start of the pandemic.
Health authorities also confirmed that 378 more people died from Covid-19-related causes, bringing the total to 48,120.
