The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that coronavirus is not a seasonal illness, rather it’s a ‘big wave’ that’s likely to remain for a long time.
The implication is that Covid-19 will not disappear in summertime and return in the winter, or vice versa. The virus is now likely to always lurk, with regular periods of resurgence until a vaccine is found.
Worldwide, over 16.5m people have become infected with coronavirus so far.
