The Department of Education have confirmed that all secondary school students will return to the classroom following the Easter break.
In a statement released this evening the Department confirmed that the last group of students to return to the classroom will return on April 12th.
It is understood that 1st to 4th year students are expected to return to school after Leaving Certificate and primary school children returned to school earlier this month.
The Department of Education say they remain committed to getting all children back to school after the Easter break and current public health guidelines will allow children to return to school.
However they added that the situation is constantly being reviewed and they will implement measures should public health guidelines change.
