The Department of Justice has declined to comment on reports that a number of migrants have gone missing from a direct provision centre.
Reports suggest that some of the migrants who were found inside a truck on board a Stena Line ferry bound for Rosslare have now gone missing from the Direct Provision Centre where they were taken to.
The 16-strong group, which included one 15-year-old, was discovered on Thursday, and taken into accommodation in Dublin on Friday. It is understood that some, or all the migrants quickly absconded and are now missing.
Authorities said that the group may have intended to travel to the UK but ended up in Ireland.
