Police in the UK have warned men who use the ‘Grindr’ app to be on the lookout after a man’s murder has been linked to a man he met on the app.

43-yr-old Adrian Murphy was found murdered at an address in an upmarket part of Battersea, south London, last week.

Police said that they can’t establish an exact cause of death but that they believe he was lured to the flat after chatting with a stranger on the gay dating app.

They think the murder is connected to a similar incident that happened five days earlier where a 40-yr-old male victim was drugged, raped and robbed by a man he had met online who he invited to his flat 15 miles away in Walthamstow, east London.

A 24-yr-old man and a 17-yr-old girl were arrested in relation to the murder and theft but both were released on bail.

Police fear that more people could fall victim to this evil act and warned men, in particular, to be careful when using the app.
