The truly dire state of affairs in the Irish health service is laid bare once again, as it has been revealed today that almost 680,000 people are currently waiting for hospital treatment in a public hospital.
The figure, which stands at 687,000, has risen by a staggering 9,500 in the last 30 days alone.
The crisis in the health sector continues to deepen, despite a number of ‘initiatives’ supposedly taken by successive ministers.
