Newly released CSO figures show that retail sales in Ireland are down some 12.7% but that food, drink and cigarettes are all up since lockdown started.
Many people have turned to online purchases during lockdown with some retail experts predicting that there’ll be multiple “bumper” sales in an effort to get people back into retail chain stores.
