Eir mobile phone company torn apart after PrimeTime shows “shocking service”

The communication company Eir took an absolute thrashing on social media after RTE’s PrimeTime show appeared to show beyond below par service over the last number of months.

As part of the show, the PrimeTime presenter tried to ring the company’s customer care service. They were told that there would be a 10 minute wait time. After some 40 minutes, the presenter eventually managed to get through to customer care – 4 times as long as they were expecting.

A number of issues including bad customer care, overcharging and outages were all discussed on the show with various customers interviewed about their experience.

Eir have declared that they’re going to do all that they can do to improve their service.
