Enda Kenny won’t contest next General Election after 45 years in politics




The former Taoiseach Enda Kenny has announced that he is not contesting the General Election and is leaving politics after 45 years.

The Fine Gael TD was heavily criticised by his opponents during his tenure as Taoiseach and then he handed over the reigns to Leo Varadkar.

Kenny will leave with around €126,000 per annum and will reportedly have a pension of some €2 million.
