On Saturday, a new search for adolescent missing Jay Slater will start in Tenerife following a request for assistance from Spanish authorities, reports Breaking News.

On June 17, the 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, vanished after making an effort to go back to his lodging.

The Guardia Civil made a request on Friday for volunteer groups, including the fire department, as well as individual volunteers with experience in difficult terrain to help with a “busqueda masiva,” or large-scale search, that is scheduled for this Saturday, reports Breaking News.

The Spanish police announced that the search would be coordinated to cover a steep rocky terrain, including ravines, trails, and walkways. It would start at 9 a.m. in the town of Masca, close to his last known position.

Today is the thirteenth day that the apprentice bricklayer has been missing.

Before going missing, Mr. Slater went to the NRG music festival on the island with two companions. His last known location was the Rural de Teno Park in the island’s north, which was around an 11-hour walk from his lodging, reports Breaking News.
