Farmers around the country say that they’re now under real pressure from the government and indeed that their livelihood itself is now at risk as a result of the demands laid in front of them.
Since the dawn of time, farmers have complained about this, that and the other, but nonetheless, they’ve provided the country with beautiful meat, dairy and vegetable products for donkey’s years.
They now say however that the time has come for them to take a stand against the government as they say that they’ll no longer be able to provide the country with the food supply they’ve done so up until now.
The heads of government have reached an agreement on the reduction of carbon emissions for the agricultural sector.
Farmers are urged to reduce their emissions by 25% by 2030, taking into account a series of actions.
The government’s climate protection plan had promised agriculture a reduction in CO2 emissions of between 22% and 30% by 2030.
Farmers say that they’re ensure Eamon Ryan is gone at the next election.
