Fighting back: Belgian PM resigns as opposition to UN migration pact grows

The Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel has resigned in the wake of protests and his governing coalition’s collapse due to opposition to the country signing the controversial UN Migration Pact.

The Flemish nationalist N-VA party left Prime Minister Michel’s coalition in early December in protest at his signing of the UN migration pact without any consultation with the Belgian people.

Something the Irish government also did with little fanfare.

The PM then called for a “coalition of the willing” to govern the country until its scheduled general election in May 2019, which failed to materialise.

Brussels was rocked by protest and riots in mid-December as over 10,000 nationalists gathered to demonstrate against the UN migration pact which seeks to normalise mass migration into the West from the developing world.

The pact is a key component of the UN’s population replacement agenda which seeks to import an unending flow of millions people from the Third World to the developed world, in particular Europe.
