The Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald has officially declared herself out if the running to become the next leader of the Fine Gael party and has instead pledged her support to Leo Varadkar.
Speaking earlier today Ms Fitzgerald gave her full backing to Mr Varadkar saying he would be a leader to renew and communicate Fine Gael values.
Meanwhile Mr Varadkar who officially begun his campaign today, said he hopes the debate continues and he wants councillors and members to have their say.
