CCTV footage showing some of the final known movements of Noah Donohoe has been made public as part of a renewed appeal for information, reports Breaking News.

The 14-yr-old’s body was discovered in a storm drain in north Belfast in June 2020, six days after he went missing while cycling to meet friends, reports Breaking News.

Hundreds of volunteers had joined in the widespread search effort that followed his disappearance.

An inquest with a jury, which has faced multiple postponements, is now expected to begin next year, reports Breaking News.

It has been established that Noah left his home at 65 Fitzroy Avenue in the Holylands area of south Belfast at 5.40pm on June 21st 2020.

CCTV footage recorded him cycling through the city centre and captured his last known sighting at 6.08pm on Northwood Drive, reports Breaking News.

Unusually, CCTV also shows that the previous night – in the early hours of June 21st – Noah had left his home at approximately 3.34am, returning about 34 minutes later in damp and drizzling conditions.

The Coroners Service has now released footage showing him at 3.34am wearing dark knee-length shorts, a light or white-coloured T-shirt, flip-flops, and holding over-ear headphones in his right hand, reports Breaking News.

He is seen turning right, heading in the direction of Queen’s University.

When Noah was next seen returning home, he was captured on University Street, coming from Ormeau Road and heading back towards Queen’s, reports Breaking News.

From there, he turned left on Dudley Street and then right onto Fitzroy Avenue, arriving back at his house.

Notably, on his return at 4.08am, he appears barefoot in the footage and is no longer carrying his flip-flops or headphones, reports Breaking News.

Presiding Coroner Mr Justice Rooney is now appealing to the public for any insight into why Noah left his house at that hour, where he went, if he met anyone, and what happened to the missing items.

He has also asked whether there were any other occasions when Noah may have been out during the early hours, reports Breaking News.

Anyone who may be able to assist is encouraged to contact the Coroners Service for Northern Ireland at the 5th floor of Laganside House, 23-27 Oxford Street, Belfast, by phone at 0300 200 7811 or via email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
