The former Labour Party leader Pat Rabbitte has been named as the new chairperson of Tusla.
Mr Rabbitte was named chairperson of the Child and Family Agency following Cabinet approval on Tuesday.
Announcing his appointment via Twitter, the Children’s Minister Katherine Zappone said Mr Rabbitte’s record of strategic leadership will help Tusla in its challenges.
