Garda sources have confirmed that four more people have been arrested this morning in connection with the notorious Jobstown protest last year, in which Joan Burton was trapped inside her vehicle for several hours.
Reportedly, one under-age male has been arrested, along with one adult male and two women, aged in their 20s and 30s. They are all being held in Tallaght and Rathfarnham garda stations.
These arrests come less than 24 hours after Socialist Party TD and three others were also detained over the same incident. All four were released without charge.
Accusations of ‘political policing’ have been leveled against the Government.
The Taoiseach has so far refused to be drawn into answering these allegations.
