There has been some stern words issued to both Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil this evening with a number of Independent TD’s calling on Mr Kenny, Mr Martin and their colleagues to grow up and form a stable government for the Irish people.
That call is being lead by Galway/Roscommon TD Michael Fitzmaurice who says both parties should be talking to each other this weekend, and in turn resolve the issue once and for all. Mr Fitzmaurice told reporters: “I think the pussyfooting should finish.” “They should get on with it, and not be like children and grow up.
“This is about forming a Government. Whether they like it or not, it’s about one supporting the other, even in a minority Government. “It has to be done, it’s part of the process.”
