A member of the Gardai was injured, and a garda vehicle was damaged following an incident with youths in Galway over the weekend.
The incident unfolded after Gardai responded to a call in the Millers Lane, Rahoon area of Galway on Saturday evening.
It is understood that a number of youths had gathered there. They started pelting Gardai with rocks, injuring one of the attending Gardai and severely damaging a vehicle.
Five youths were arrested and later released.
