Gardaí in Co Kildare have launched an investigation after a pensioner was left shaken following a robbery at their home over the weekend.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the investigation comes after two people forced their way into the man’s home in Celbridge.
It is understood the two thieves one of whom was armed with a knife threatened the man before fleeing with a quantity of cash.
The Irish Mirror reports that no one was injured in the incident but a Garda investigation is currently ongoing.
