Gardaí and Customs officials have confirmed that 68kgs of cannabis herb has been seized following a search at Dublin Port.
It is understood the seizure was made on Tuesday after officers searched a consignment of goods which arrived from Spain.
Gardaí say the Illegal drugs had an estimated worth of €1.3m.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
