Gardai have confirmed that a man has been arrested following the seizure of €1m in cash from a van on the M7 in Co Kildare.
It is understood that the Eastern European national was arrested after Gardai searched a van on the motorway at approximately 6.30am this morning.
Gardai say they also seized €10,000 in cash during a follow up search at a premises in Midlands.
They say the man is currently being questioned at Portlaoise Garda Station.
