Gardai have arrested one man in connection with a €20m property fraud scheme.
It is understood that the scheme involved using fraudulent documentation to remove charges from outstanding mortgages and then selling the properties with no mortgage repayments attached.
A 37-year-old man was picked up in Co. Louth today. He’s the ninth person to be arrested in connection with the fraud.
