
A man in his 20s was arrested and later released by gardaĆ from the Serious Crime Unit in Irishtown, Dublin, as part of an investigation into several reports of accommodation fraud, reports Breaking News.
The arrest took place on Friday, May 9th.
The suspected fraud cases, which were reported to gardaĆ by those affected, are believed to have taken place in the South Dublin area during September and October 2024, reports Breaking News.
The man was held for questioning at a garda station within the Eastern Region.
He has since been released from custody, and a file is being prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to a garda statement, reports Breaking News.
