A man is receiving hospital treatment for injuries following an alleged assault that took place in Limerick City on Wednesday night, reports Breaking News.
Gardaí stated they “received a report of an incident of assault that occurred in the Parnell Street area of Limerick city, at approximately 9:45pm, Wednesday”.
“A male in his 30s was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The scene remains preserved for technical examination,” reports Breaking News.
Gardaí said that their investigation is still in progress.
On Thursday morning, a stretch of footpath outside an off-licence and a pharmacy remained sealed off by gardaí.
The investigation is being led by Gardaí from Roxboro Road station, who can be reached with any information at 061-214340, reports Breaking News.
