Gardaí in Dublin are treating the death of a woman at an apartment complex as suspicious.
The investigation comes after the woman a 33-year-old mother of two was found dead at the Homestead Court Complex in Cabra this afternoon.
Gardaí say the woman was found by a relative at approximately 2.30pm this afternoon.
It is believed that the woman was a victim of a violent assault, although Gardaí have not yet confirmed her exact cause of death.
Officers investigating the case say a technical examination is taking place at the scene and they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine the exact cause of the woman’s death.
They also say a 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he is currently being detained at detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned for up to 24 hours
