Gardai have launched an investigation following a hit-and-run incident in an Irish city.
The incident happened in the Williams St. area of Limerick shortly after midnight last night.
It is understood that a woman in her 50s was struck by a car, which did not remain at the scene.
The woman was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non life-threatening injuries.
