Gardai have launched an investigation following a stabbing incident in Longford town.
The incident happened on Richmond Street on Thursday evening.
The victim, a male in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar for treatment.
No one has been arrested yet in connection with this incident.
