Gardai have launched an investigation following the death of a man while in garda custody.
It is understood that the deceased, a man in his 50s, was found in an unresponsive state in his cell shortly after being arrested in Drogheda on Sunday.
Gardai administered CPR while an ambulance was called, but paramedics could only certify the man’s death.
