According to reports it is believed the who was brutally attacked and beaten to death during a vicious street fight in Tallaght yesterday evening has been named as Karl Holmes.
Mr Holmes believed to be in his 40’s and a father of one was brutally attacked by a gang after a fight broke out outside houses at Avonbeg Gardens in Tallaght, Dublin, at approximately 5.30pm yesterday evening. Gardai say a number of people were involved in the fight and that Mr Holmes subsequently died as a result of receiving several blows during the fight.
Mr Holmes was quickly rushed to the nearby Tallaght hospital by emergency services, but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. Gardai also say they are conducting a major investigation into the incident and that no arrests have currently yet been made.
A number of sources state that Mr Holmes was well-known to the gardai.
