General Election: Martin Fianna Fail made mistakes whilst in government but we’ve learnt from that

It’s already been a bizarre election with claims and quotes being spouted from all sides, but Micheal Martin’s party seems to be leading the race at this point.

According to the Examiner, Martin said after appearing on the RTE This Week programme:
“Down through the years, I have been very dismissive of national opinion polls. I think national polls have to be treated with a great degree of caution. I believe it is much tighter and I believe the battles in the individual constituencies will determine the outcome of the election. It will be a closely fought election,” he said.

“This poll was in advance of the election campaign so we are just going to keep focused on the campaign, it is early days yet,” Martin said.

Speaking about how he was on the front bench when Ireland crashed and almost burned in 2008, Martin said: “mistakes were made, but you learn from that.”

What are you thoughts? Do you think Martin and Fianna Fail will be given another chance to run the country?
