According to reports this morning the Government have agreed to introduce a scheme that will provide free childcare for parents of children who re homeless.
The new scheme will see struggling parents being able to apply for 25-hours a week childcare with no cost.
The move which is likely to be welcomed by many struggling families was confirmed by the Children’s Minister Katherine Zappone who said school children can avail of the free childcare outside of term time and it will be available for 50 weeks of the year.
It us understood the scheme will be first implemented in the Dublin region from next month as part of €8.25 million euro funding project.
