The Government is proposing the introduction of new levies on disposable plastic cups and plastic bags, in an effort to reduce plastic waste.
If the proposals come to pass, disposable cups might be levied at 10c, 15c, or 25c, and the plastic bag levy will increase to 25c.
The new regulations will be introduced either in 2020 or 2021.
