The Government is set to announce a one-off €250 payment for college students today.
Under the plan, students who have availed of the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) scheme will automatically receive a €250 payment around Christmas time. Those students who are not on SUSI will have their outstanding payments reduced by the same amount.
The payment is the Government’s way to recognize the difficulties that students are facing this year due to Covid-19.
