Green Party call for their next leader to focus on ‘everyday life’

The future leader of the Green Party has been urged by party members to prioritize “everyday life” while continuing to advocate for climate change action, reports RTE.

It comes after Eamon Ryan, the Minister of Communications, Climate, and Environment, declared yesterday that he would be resigning as party leader and will not be running in the upcoming general election.

Catherine Martin, the Minister of Arts and Media, also announced her resignation as the party’s deputy leader, reports RTE.

She declared she will run in the upcoming general election, although she declined to run for the position of leader.
