Health Minister Simon Harris has just about managed to survive the no confidence vote tabled by Sinn Fein.
The motion was defeated 58 votes to 53, with 37 abstentions.
Mr. Harris has been embroiled in deep controversy in relation to the soaring costs of the new children’s hospital in Dublin. If and when the facility is eventually built, it will likely be the most expensive hospital ever constructed anywhere in the world by a hefty margin.
