North Korean state media have reported that the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un, had his first public appearance since world speculation about his health began in April.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, Mr. Kim appeared in public and cut the ribbon when opening a fertiliser factory.
The reported that he “attended the ceremony” on Friday and “all the participants broke into thunderous cheers of ‘hurrah!'” when he appeared, KCNA said.
