Holidaymakers traveling to Spain are being warned they could face temperatures of around 40C in some areas this week.
Local forecasting agencies have said that some areas of southern Spain could see record temperatures for the month of April.
According to local authorities, Thursday and Friday are likely to be the hottest days, with more temperate weather forecast for the following days.
