Holohan claims Ireland’s covid cases have “stabilised” in recent weeks, but we’re not out of the woods yet

The number of Covid 19 cases has “stabilised” in recent weeks, according to Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer.

The Department of Health has reported 1,586 new cases of Covid-19 earlier. At hospitals around the country, 298 people have tested positive for the virus, 10 fewer than yesterday. 56 of them are in intensive care, three fewer in the past 24 hours.

In a video message on social media, Holohan said the incidence rate in primary school children has “fallen right back down” but we need to be careful as the country isn’t out of the woods yet.
