HSE issues warning to the public after a bogus nurse is caught calling to homes in South Tipperary




Residents in South Tipperary have been urged to remain vigilant after a number of residents have reported an incident that seen a person calling to their door pretending to be a nurse.

According to The Nationalist newspaper Gardai and the HSE have warned people in they area not to allow the bogus nurse into their home.

The paper also states that the HSE have issued an warning to the public after the scam was reported over the past few weeks.

In a brief statement the HSE said residents in the area should be on alert as an individual or individuals have been posing as a nurse in order to gain entry into people’s properties.

They added all HSE employees carry the appropriate identification whist conducting a home visit.

People are also being urged to contact the Gardai if the bogus nurse calls to their home.
