Investigation underway after e-scooter rider hits small toddler on footpath

A search has been launched for the e-scooter rider who collided with a small child and then ran away, reports Metro.
The woman is believed to have been riding on the pavement when she struck a child on New Beacon Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire.
The child suffered a cut on the knee but was otherwise unharmed during the collision around 12:00 on June 5.
However, the rider headed towards Harrowby Lane without informing anyone on the scene, reports Metro.
Police are now asking for help locating the woman, who has long, dark brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Several people commented on the app saying that they had problems with e-scooters themselves.
Steve Bellamy called them “illegal menaces who endanger pedestrians in every local town and village. Common sense rarely comes into it. It’s a wonder no one has been more permanently hurt,” reports Metro.
