Ireland to sizzle next week as Met Eireann say temperatures are expected to reach 26C

The weather outlook for the weekend is looking pretty miserable as heavy downpours are expected which will surely dampen our summer plans.

However if you are hoping to get out and about and enjoy some sunshine you won’t have to wait too long according to the latest forecasts.

In an announcement which will surely have everyone putting on the sun tan lotion, Met Eireann say Ireland is set to have another hot blast beginning early next week.

Although some rain is expected in the North and North West on Monday, the national forecaster has revealed that sunshine and high temperatures ranging from 20 to 26C are expected by Monday afternoon.

The hot blast will also continue into Tuesday as prolonged sunshine and high temperatures reaching 26C are expected.
